Good Irish course?

    Hey all,

    Anybody know where there is a decent course to learn Iirah at night/wknds, basically from beginning up, i done Irish in school but unfortunately those days were spent dreaming of being a footballer or rock star.

    I am looking at speaking fluent over the next year or so

    All info appreciated

    Go to the Gaeltacht or do an immersion course. Gael Linn have all the info on courses.

    The Linguaphone CD's are quite good if you do them properly. They are very comprensive and have to be done properly (don't move on to the next bit if you don't understand)

    I am about a quater of the way through, and found it helpful. they are very expensive, but are available in most libraries now

    Fluent in a year? Good luck to you. If you really want to be fluent in one year you will have to move to the Gaeltacht and get yourself an Irish speaking girlfriend.

    I would also recommend the Gaelchultúr in Temple Bar (if you're from Dublin). They have some very good courses for all levels.
