depends what your doing have a pc and a mac lappy

good thing about pc's so cheap mine cost around €100
1700mhz cpu 512mb ram 40gg hdd 64mb gfx creative sound card

good luck tryin to find a mac at that price but macs are way more user friendly pretty much everything auto installs on them i remember with my phone trying to connect it with bluetooth and share the web connection set up automatically on the mac and worked fine wheras after about 3 diferent how to's alot of coke and some cursing i got it to work on the pc

id pick a pc over mac anytime but macs have a much nicer ui and easier to work

Macs are the industry standard for stuff like music and video making and editing. They are seen as being a lot more stable, I don't know how true that is. Windows has a lot of ridiculous default settings (e.g. every new user is an admin) as well making them a prime target for viruses. Windows also has poor memory management. But the range of software available is excellent, far better than a Mac.

So in conclusion, for a serious job Macs are better, for gaming Windows is better.

mac: editing, tinkering and creating digital arts (music, photo manipulation, etc.)

pc: gaming, "normal" usage, work, college, etc.
