I have heard it's definitely going ahead (18th aug.), it was taken off the website after that spat between MCD and Aiken, but since then the stones specifically asked in writing for Aiken to promote. i don't know when they will start selling tickets.

i heard what the guy above me also heard. I also saw the article on the front page of the Irish Independant back in Jan/Feb sometime saying about the promotional argument they had. MCD are ****ed now with all the good gigs coming Aikens way!

Thats interesting about MCD being ****ed. (Someone feel free to correct me on this) I think the council are supposed to 'award/assign' concerts between the two to prevent a monopoly emerging.I was looking at the two websites a while back and i thought it was the other way around, i prefered the acts MCD had. At moment aiken seem to to be getting all the big concerts. I can't remember going to many concerts aiken have promoted, but i've been to loads promoted by MCD. Strange..... Does anyone know the deal between these two?
