Gta lcs now playable on a 1.5!!

This has just been posted on psp updates, a downgrader from the MPH team that enables you to play gta on a 1.5 fw psp. This is pretty huge in terms of homebrew, and the more gray area of umd emulation (fastloader etc.) it is stated that a full version of the loader will be released within a week.

i believe this is a great step forward as i can play gta while viewing videos encoded by pmp mod, whilst also using homebrew that has been designed and can be used only in 1.5 (quake, snes tyl3 in KERNAL mode, psp radio, beats of rage.) I will also be intrested in seeing how speed changes when running a game from your memory stick compared to a UMD, ive heard playing from the flash memory is much faster and less battery consuming.

i want to know everyones opinions on how they see this development, is it a good thing in that 1.5 is becoming a more accessable firmware with newer games meaning upgrading to higher versions will no longer be needed?

Or is this a pirates dream and a reason for sony to be seriously worried?

/edit note i will be playing a gta iso that i have generated from my own UMD, not a torrent download.
