I am trying to get a certain flash for my Bebo account, but I can't figure out how to get the direct link, all I can get is the page where the flash is found. how do you get the link to the flash itself?

view the source of the page. then do a search for ".swf" thats the file you want. you may need to add that filename to the directory your currently in in your address bar.

Alternatively you can find the file in your temp internet files. Presuming your using IE.

grabbin the first flash i could find off homestarrunner.com as an example
> <HTML>
<HEAD>
<TITLE>Compy 386??</TITLE>

<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="Javascript">
<!--
function newwin1() {
window.open("hsmakeout.html","newwindow","toolbar=0,location=0,directories=0,status=0,menubar=0,scrollbars=0,resizeable=0,width=200,height=200,top=150,left=275")
}
//-->
</SCRIPT>
DA SOURCE CODE
</HEAD>
<BODY bgcolor="black">

<div align="center"><OBJECT
classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"
codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=5,0,0,0"
WIDTH=1000 HEIGHT=425>
<PARAM NAME=movie VALUE="sbemail118.swf"> <PARAM NAME=loop VALUE=false>
<PARAM NAME=menu VALUE=false> <PARAM NAME=quality VALUE=high> <PARAM
NAME=bgcolor VALUE=#000000> <EMBED src="sbemail118.swf" loop=false
menu=false quality=high bgcolor=#000000  WIDTH=1000 HEIGHT=425
TYPE="application/x-shockwave-flash"
PLUGINSPAGE="http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash"></EMBED>
</OBJECT></div>
</BODY>
</HTML>

.swf for it is sbemail118.swf

so the direct link is http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail118.swf

great, thanks lads!

EDIT:

I still have a problem with it.

I went to http://www.amishdonkey.com/history-of-the-f-word to get that flash, went to the source code and got swf/hhtrm/fword.swf, put them together and Bebo won't accept it. it is frustrating, lol, so close yet so far
