Hey Argenite. I know of only one place Dublin that does deep-fried Mars Bars. And I have no way of gettin to it today.

So do ya reckon, if I went into any chipper, like Burdocks or somehwere, and just took out a Creme Egg or a Mars bar (or any other item of confectionary!) that they'd deep fry it?

I've never had the nerve to try it at my local, I really must...

Yeah do and let me know i will be LMAO darlin:p

Sounds like you cooked it to long:)
It happened to me the first time I cooked one without the batter. Its easier when they are battered and also tastier.

Weirdest thing i've ever had when i was younger was a tomato sauce sandwich and i used to eat raw puddings before my mam would grab them off me to cook them for our breakfast

I worked in a pub and there was a Polish lad used to put loads of salt in his Guinness. One of the lads emptied the whole thing of salt into his pint one night and he drank it. He said he eats salt sandwiches as well. Good for the heart.

I remember working with a really strange little French girl in Motorola a few years back. At breakfast time, she'ed buy a purple snack bar and an egg. She used to dip the purple snack bar in the yellow of the egg!!! Mightve been tasty to her but nah not for me thanks! Or was working with a guy last year who would buy a scone for breakfast and dip it into either a glass of orange juice or soup...charming!

Oi, they're my invention! Other "weird" things I like include:

Fried Egg, Bacon, Fried Tomato and Mayonaise Sandwiches (ultimate hangover cure)
Strawberries and Tayto Cheese & Onion (discovered while strawberry picking as a child)
Apple Tart with Natural Yoghurt instead of cream
    Pizzini Sandwiches
Pesto Sandwiches (sometimes I add Philadelphia)

The other thing I've always had people find very strange in Ireland (though it's common on the continent) is using Olive Oil in place of butter when making a sandwich with crusty bread...

On the pregnant woman cravings thing, a girl I know got cravings for chalk during her pregnancy. She had to go buy some from the early learning centre in order to make sure it was non-toxic!

Seems to be a lot of Cadbury's Creme Egg Fans, any of you tried the new Dairy Milks with Creme Egg filling yet?

Always loved dipping fresh bread rolls in a cup of tea. Just a bit of butter in the rolls...

    Shex.

When I was younger, my babysitter used to make me mashed banana, and banana sandwiches....

And my gran used to make me tomato sauce sandwiches.

    EDIT:

Had one yesterday...The chocolate is better than a normal creme egg... Thumbs up!

Used to work in a pizzeria so we'd muck around with different toppings.Even though I hate pineapple on pizzas, bananas as a topping are surprisingly tasty.

A little Budwieser poured into a bowl of vanilla Ice-cream and left to melt is always good. Or peanut butter and cheese toastie really hits the spot after 10 or 11 pints. My nephew used to eat dry wheatabixes dipped in ketchup, I tried them but they are an aquired taste I think.

I once knew somone who would make crisp sandwiches, (which can be quite nice), BUT he would get a bar of dairy milk choc and scrape it onto the sandwich!!

So, your talkin' bread, butter, crisps, choc shavings, all in one sandwich!

(OK, I admit, tried one of his myself, and cant say it was altogether horrible).:o
