    DAVID HASSELHOFF!

You know what would be funnier?
If I make a barely viable portmanteau out of Hasselhoff and Oxegen?

    HOFFSEGEN!

    God Im witty.

For what its worth I bet we will see about 2/3rds of this list: Arctic Monkeys, Forward Russia, Wolf Parade, Greenday, The Kooks, Rodrigo y Gabriel, Bloc Party, Hot Hot Heat, Fall out Boy, Pretty girls make graves, AFI, Muse, The Shins, Interpol, Antony and the Johansens, The Editors, The Bravery, Sugababes, The Polyphonic Spree, Gorillaz, and Kanye West.

Just judging by new album releases, general tours and promotion in around the same time, and MCDs lack of creativity (hey lets get Greenday again! :-) )

hopefully we'll only get one third of that mostly ****e list, can't wait to see Antony and the Johansens, or was that another witticism??

I'd definitely say Marlay is more likely for Radiohead. Oxegen's crowd and Radiohead wouldn't be a good mix anyway.

Oasis are playing Hyde Park in June and with a rumoured EP due in the summer I reckon they will do a festival or two during the summer. However them playing Oxegen is only specualtion and is extremely unlikely. They won't be playing Marlay Park that's for certain.

I doubt EP will get Oasis, it'll increase the Scobe count too much.

    dear oxygen promoters,
how about stop the ripping off of people by not charging
a ridiculous €10 for the schedule.

eh? where/who is saying that they're playing hyde park or anywhere in june? noel said they were finishing touring in spring and taking 2 years off then. the official site says that they'll be "concluding their 12 month tour in mexico". can't see them playing anywhere, especially UK again, and definitely not an Irish festival.

read that sentence you're referring to again.

Interesting to hear about The Who being mentioned. Theres plenty of talk of The Who & Radiohead playing the V Festival - and isnt that the one that usually has the same acts at witnness/oxegen? So maybe it'll be the who and radiohead at oxegen too. With the new album out this summer (supposedly in the dark pop direction) it could be interesting...

Yeah thanks for clearing up that misunderstanding for me! :)

I think it's safe to say that Oasis would never play Electric Picnic!

    RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS
Yeah it would be cool, but theres no way they would headline a festival when they can sell out Phoenix Park..

Bring on Radiohead, The Who, Arctic Monkeys, Placebo, Rod y Gab, Smashing Pumpkins and Velvet Revolver!

Stereophonics, The Prodigy, Coldplay, Kubb, Travis, Radiohead, Ordinary Boys, Muse, Antony and the Johansens, Editors, Kanye West, Roger Sanchez, Deep Dish, Daft Punk, Mylo, Faithless, Chemical Brothers.....

If Radiohead, Kubb and Stereophonics play there's no way I'd miss it, otherwise I wouldn't be too bothered this year, I didn't really enjoy last year that much.

They will be announcing bands for T in the Park tomorrow. the rumoured bands are pure crap so if they play, im guranteed of missing loads of it, thank god. As for that long list, most of those bands would want to headline Main Stage. And dont get RHCP for Oxegen. They playind stadiums/arenas, not very-open air places. They might play Croker cos Rolling Stones have Phoinex for this year
