For what its worth I bet we will see about 2/3rds of this list: Arctic Monkeys, Forward Russia, Wolf Parade, Greenday, The Kooks, Rodrigo y Gabriel, Bloc Party, Hot Hot Heat, Fall out Boy, Pretty girls make graves, AFI, Muse, The Shins, Interpol, Antony and the Johansens, The Editors, The Bravery, Sugababes, The Polyphonic Spree, Gorillaz, and Kanye West.

That's pretty much what I'd expect, but I doubt we'll see Green Day, The Bravery or Interpol again. Bloc Party would probably do Electic Picnic and Hot Hot Heat/Antony and the Johnsons have pretty much finished up touring behind their respective albums, but ye never know.

I'd go with Placebo/Radiohead for headliners and The Strokes/Kanye West/Franz Ferdinand/James Blunt for the second tier. The White Stripes/Muse/David Gray/Stereophonics/Jack Johnson/The Darkness/Scissor Sisters/The Prodigy/Daft Punk are also quite possible going by past lineups. Whew.

Wouldn't mind seeing Sigur Rós up there actually.

I'd say about 90% of the bands listed here won't be playing. I can't believe some people think the likes of Tool and Slayer would ever play Oxegen.

If I had things my way Radiohead and Oasis would headline but sadly they won't be playing anyway.

I wouldn't mind Sigur Ros, Arctic Monkeys, Morrissey, Hard-Fi and Belle and Sebastian play since I've missed their gigs recently. The last 4 bands all likely, Oxegen is just not the type of festival where Sigur Ros should play.

Doesn't matter anyway since it will be sh!t lineup since The Strokes are deemed worthy of headlining by MCD. Muse strongly rumoured to be the other headliners.

I think Rodrigo Y Gabriela should headline both nights. They are so awesome.

    Dear Organisers of Oxegen 2006,

Please add the following bands to the line-up this year:

    • Hard-fi
    • Editors
    • The Rakes
    • Dead 60s

    >Who do you wanna see this year??

Totally agree all of these, but would also add:
    • Arctic Monkeys
    • Arcade Fire
    • Maximo Park
    • The Bravery
    • Protocol (Supported The Bravery in the Ambassador)

And obviously the likes of getting the Kaiser Chiefs, Franz Ferdinand, The Strokes, Killers, Stereophonics all back!!

The Hoff Could Play he'll be touring around that time of the year.
I dont see tool playing it but all the usuals will play it with RHCP most likely to head the main stage one of the nights with the new album coming out.
Maybe "guns n' roses" will play but im not expecting axls new creation to be brilliant.

I saw the new version of Guns n Roses play Leeds festival a few years back and I wouldn't be afan by any means but they definitely did what they're supposed to do amazingly well.

I've a feeling Kanye West is a strong possibility...

Muse, the darkness and the strokes are almost dead certainties. And maybe the White Stripes will make up for cancelling in 2003.

Whats Kanye West like? I know he's a rapper but I've heard from a few people he's better than most.

Anyone know what HIM are upta around that time? Would they have enough old enough fans to warrant an oxegen appearance?

Yeah, i know bout Nine Black Alps on Thursday. Havent missed them in Ireland yet, so wont start now.

I did hear bout The Who to be playin. but the way i heard was on the oxegen messageboard where someone said his friends dad works for mcd who told him. Not the same without Moon the Loon though. Strokes, Darkness and Muse are almost certainties. Bands are being announced for T in the Park next monday and those bands normally play Oxegen so give it a few days for the start of announcements

David Bowie (remember he cancelled, he still owes the people a concert)
    Oasis
    Radiohead
    Artic Monkeys
    Ian Brown

The Who would be bloody fantastic but TBH there are so many rumours about bands headlining now I don't know what to believe.

The fact that Radiohead, Oasis, Foo Fighters are all playing dates around June/July is fuelling even more rumours about possible headliners.

The last Radiohead rumour I heard was that they're playing Marlay in July. Oasis have been twice recently, couldn't see them coming back (but would love to)

I'd definitely say Marlay is more likely for Radiohead. Oxegen's crowd and Radiohead wouldn't be a good mix anyway.

Oasis are playing Hyde Park in June and with a rumoured EP due in the summer I reckon they will do a festival or two during the summer. However them playing Oxegen is only specualtion and is extremely unlikely. They won't be playing Marlay Park that's for certain.
