palm 5.x ir remote control software ?

ive a palm z22 and want to use it as an ir remote control (cause ive no other use for it). Ive found one program that apparently does what I want but its $200 which rules that out. Anyone know of any free software that does the same thing ? Just want to use it as a fancy home entertainment remote.
