Hi, just bought a Dell Latitude D610 and was wondering what would be the best way to connect to the net from the laptop using my existing connection?

I fairly recently moved house with an NTL boardband connection already there I simply had to plug the Ethernet cable into the back and it worked fine. If there is an existing network in the house it might be more complicated.
More info needed do you have an Ethernet port on the machine (it should come as standard).

Assuming you're talking about connecting to a broadband connection.

get yourself one of these: http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=302439&cks=PLC and connect directly to your broadband modem
and then get one of these:http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=301534&cks=PLS for your laptop. (that is if you didn't chose wireless with the laptop)
