The penultimate episode of the season.... thoughts?

I liked it and despite all the cynicism from everyone, including myself, about this season of atlantis i'm really looking forward to a major battle next week

McKay really showed what the character could do under pressure..

Must say I really enjoyed this episode!

I just want to see them blow a few wraith ships to bits with the ancient ship now!

I thought this was a really strong episode. The script writing this week was excellent.... lots of snappy (and funny) dialogue. I wonder whats the deal with the single wraith ship? And I wonder why the finale is called "Allies". Who could the allies be?

probbey those guys cant remember there name tho what it it was tolanins are something. the guys from this episde there planet sounded too much like tolana
next weeks episode is being delayed i heard till feb 7?

that ship is only the 1st or the divisions in the wraith mean that only 1 hive knows and dosent share info so more food for them

I liked this one, but I saw what was going to happen to the gate miles away!

i have so say tho i was very dissapointed with the volcano blowing up on the planet no big boom. was hoeping for a huge boom so i could go ha thats going to happen to earth in a few years

Woulda like to have known more about that city before it went up. Any ancient secrets etc. Bet they find a ZPM on the ship somewhere

we know that anchiant war ships are far more powerfull than wraith ships from earlier episodes it was simply the size of the wraith fleet that allowed them to defeat the lantians. The Orian will most likley be used against the wraith fleet the deadalus is probbley capable of taking out a wraith ship if it has the zpm powering it so they will porbbley hide the orian until the main wraith fleet arrives season 3 episode 1 mabe? i hope not

id love to see the oprin powerd by the wraith fleet if they do detect about 20 hive ships heading for them could they not engage them and self destruct a zpm could take out a holw solar system and deal a crippling blow to the wraith

Enjoyed this one too. Rodney was on fantastic form this week - really witty. I loved the way he ripped the laptop off his back as if it was a gun and he was charging into action or how he called Sheppard on making him panic to work harder.

Sure it was a bit easy to find a ship just when they need it but what the hey - it was done well. If SGA must do stand alone episodes can't they all be of this calibre?

As to the one ship approaching? If I had to bet, I'd say it's Forde having stolen a Hive ship. He's here to assist them for the fleet that's right behind him. We'll see soon if I'm right. Maybe it'll have a Prior instead..

Wow...that was really well done.
Both shows have done well...usually it has been tradition to throw the lesser episodes just before the finale.

The story was good and the twists were good too but my god are ancient ships ugly!
That said...it annoyed me when Ronin or someone said 'with this we could give the Wraith one hell of a fight', or something similar.

Bring on next week.

I really enjoyed this episode. Sort of predictible in the sense that the Ancient ship had to be used to escape the planet.

But still it was done very well and the interaction between McKayy and Sheppard was very funny.

And a nice build up to next weeks season finale..
