Contacting a number in the UK

I need to contact a company in the UK but the phone number they use is a bit like the 1850 numbers here and as a result I can't get through. The UK prefix is 09011. I used the 0044 and dropped the first 0 (and also dialled without dropping it) but can't get through. Does anyone know what I can do?

    Thanks

you won't be able to contact the Co using the 1850 / 1800 type number, no matter what prefix... these are intended for UK users only.
Have they not got a number for intl. customers?
    Have you googled them?
    Could try http://www.yell.com/

Thats a premium rate number if I remember rightly, dont think they can be dialled outside of the uk. Try ringing the operator & explaining. Maybe they can put you through.

Use the International operator 114, she or he will put you through

You can't call UK premium rate numbers from outside the UK. International operator will not be able to help you.

you could try looking up the company on the internet. Sometimes on the company webpage they will have a local number for the company ie not a premium one or they might have an email address that you could use instead?

If only porn was more freely available in Ireland these sorts of issues wouldn't arise.

I wondered how long that comment would take :D

I did and no joy I'm afraid. It's a part of Granada Media that I'm trying to contact but their website as far as contact numbers or email addresses is concerned is crap.
