Drogheda Card Club (Riverside?)

    Does anyone have any info on the new Drogheda card club?

    I heard that this opened a couple of weeks ago, but have seen nothing around the town. I'm looking for any info at all (even where exactly it is!)

    2 poker tables 3 blackjack 1 roulette. Very clean. Poker games are €1/€2 min buyin is €50. Games don't usually start til about 12 or so when the taxi drivers and Chinese come in. Opening hours are 10pm -6am. Food available. Free tea coffee. great craic if the right crowds in - like being at mass if not. Dealers a bit green to say the least. Handy smoking area.

    Directions: Its on Wellington Qy. From West st. (main st.) go down Stock-well lane towards the Boyne turn right at the bottom and its about the 5th door up. Its over an estate agents called Gallagher's or similar. From Mcdonalds/Extravision - cross bridge turn left at T junction left again and its about the 5th door on right. Wooden door with plaque on door.

    Its the guy who used to run or own The Jade Club and The Jackpot Club. His name is Frank.

    Its a mix of all-sorts. The Chinese seem to be calling stations, there's a few "gamblers" who seem to have an endless bankroll and then there's a few who actually seem to know poker.
