Lads i cant believe that no one has complained heartily about party invading your accounts and taking money from it. I dont know what country they are based in but they have no right legally to take money from your accounts under irish law. It may be that in due course they would be entitled to it back but they cant go into your accounts and just take it.

Im just amazed no one put them in a world of sh!t over it.

Are you planning on quoting a legal source here? A precedent maybe from one of Ireland's many cases involving Internet gambling cases? Have you even read Party's terms and conditions, and seen what they have to say about the legal status of funds in your account? You did read them when you signed up, right?

Or are you talking through your arse?

They are regulated by the government of Gibraltar, a territory the annual GDP of which is less than the rake Partypoker takes in per year. Apart from the fact that they could probably start shipping in gambling addicts as slaves to work for them and get away with it, the country operates under the English legal system. I haven't a notion what the particulars of that are for this issue, but it strikes me as being unlikely that it's illegal to merely reverse a technical crediting error if the funds are still in the account, but taking that amount from future deposits is certainly a moot point.

There's possibly a technical legal point relating to the "Set-Off" of debts, but I'd say Party have themselves well covered by their T&C's that allow them to do this....

Partygaming's shares are doing some weird things this week. Big jump yesterday while the rest of the FTSE 100 Index dropped a lot. Seems to have dropped a lot this morning. Anyone with a focus on the stock market any clue as to why this might be happening? Roundtower2 maybe? The weather? ;)

They received some broker upgrades to 'buy' recommendations on Friday 13th, US markets were closed Monday (MLK day) hence presumed activity earlier this week... don't know why they dropped today ... probably weather as you say, or because today is Wednesday maybe.;)

PM me if you want one the broker 'recommendations', it's on pdf so don't think I can attach it here.

Hehe brokers' recommendations are so funny, bunch of monkeys randomly flinging muck at the stock market page :) I read a financial story this morning which mentioned rumours of Partgaming's wish to expand and that Pokerstars is at the top of their list lol, I mean Jesus Christ they haven't a clue. No wonder the share monkey (random picks) wins the Sunday Independent share tip competition against the experts virtually every year. Sure every scientific study ever done on the stock market has shown it to unpredicatable hasn't it? Yet you still have the guy the delusional suits who get well paid to propogate the illusion it's not random. At least us card players know the odds and can put our money in when we're ahead and not have it affected by a bad turn in the weather in East China. Um actually given the thermal entropy built into the RNG of some sites maybe we can't :)

The people that set up stars are looking to sell for a billion, not too many people can afford that..

I think Stars is worth a lot more than a billion myself.
