Nokia 6230 "cannot undo restriction" problem

I have been trying to unlock a 6230 from vodafone. I had a few failled attempts because of wrong calc settings .. now the phone says "cannot undo restriction". I have read up on the problem and it seems to be the counter in the phone is locked after 3 failled attempts. The phone still works fine on vodafone, however i cant…

The phone still works fine on vodafone, however i cant enter a valid unlocking code.

Anyone got any ideas how to reset this counter?

PS: The phone was a christmas gift to somone.

You can't. You've got to get it cable unlocked now.
