I was told that on 2.6 that I could watch video clips and films without transcoding them.Is this true and if so how?

no its called avac or something. AVI isnt on it yet as far as i know, go to hackmypsp.com and they will give you the avac convertor, its umd quality for your movies.

biggest downfall of the psp really, not being able to copy avi straight over. it really has me thinking about selling my psp.

there's more than likely a homebrew app to allow avi playback

/EDIT:if you have v1.5 this program called avi player v0.2 will let you play avi on your psp.

/EDIT 2: There is also one for divx if im not mistaken.
