Hosting a server with Halo pc on Bt 2mb

    Im using a netopia 3347NWG and im trying to run a halo pc server and whenever anyone trys to join it says unable to connect to server can anyone help:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

    i don't know if this is the cause but, you're going to have problems hosting a game server on Bt's 2048/128 connection, the connection just doesn't have the upload speed

    Find out what port the server runs on and then check your router config. Not familar with it so I can't advise you, but it should be obviosu once you get to the config page.

    runs on 2303 and tried forwarding it but it doesn't work

    He said it's for two people.
    If he's not using the line for anything else at the time, it'll easily support 2 external clients.

    Can get 4 people on a 128 line easily.

    Saturday nights i host a Swat4 server in Coop :D

    Its the port the other guy is connecting to your IP but the router wont let him.
    Open the port by folliwing syxpaks link.

    Easiest way is to see if its visible in All Seeing Eye or other server finding program.

    If its not visible its not open to connection.

    Ive often started a UT2004 server to show some1 a mod im working on and if 1 person joins its fine but the second another person joins their pings shoot up to about 999 and its probably more its just thats the max UT displays.

    I got it to work once but now i dont know is it people unable to connect or they just dont want to

    lol ive hosted halo pc games on my isdn connection only had 2 other players though
    dont know why your having problems
