saw that. still some bugs in it though. it's trying to set up a whole firmware in some temporary location on the PSP to run firmware-specific games (like GTA, which requires the newer codecs to run)

im an idiot face. I found out that yes there is no version from 2.01 to 1.5, which ****s me up cause i purchased something that runs only on 1.5 so my psp is useless until a downgrader arrives =(

Well I just scared the living s**t out of myself.
When it asked to press O at the end to rebuild, it wouldn't work,
I left it for 15 mins, then I powered it off, then tried again,
didn't work so I nearly cried. But on the 6th go it worked...WOHOOOO!!!!

MAME here I come!

@[DM]-TheDOC-: There is nothing that has to be paid for and that only works on 1.5.

@Placebo: The new program released by MPH is a firmware launcher, not a downgrader. afaik it doesn't allow you to run 2.5 games on 1.5. The latest version has been posted on pspupdates.http://www.pspupdates.qj.net/ just scroll down a bit till you find it.

thanks 4x, apprently the browser seems to kinda word, thats the aim of it asfaik to emulate future firmwares, hopefully when its fully done we can run games that require future firmware. If Street fighter alpha 3 and viewtiful joe require anything over 2.0 , im afraid il have to upgrade !!!

There's a dutch coder called Aenea who is very close to creating fix for all 2.0 games(including GTa) and says she may be able to continue on to work on 2.5+

I'm going to cry when Street Fighter Alpha 3 MAX and Guilty Gear Judgement are released. I'll have to upgrade... no question at all.

I've got GGXX on it already but I needs teh Judgment0rz.

don't worry, there's a good selection of game that work on 1.0, 1.5, 1.51, 1.52, 2.0.
