Games like Yoshi's Island

Recently got myself an sp. Never thought i'd like it that much but Yoshi's island I just love. I'm not much of a gamer. In fact I have an xbox with a few games and I never play the thing. Haven't finished one of the games and don't plan on it. As for Yoshi's island though I just love the thing. Wondering what the hell I can play when i'm finished. I've also got Super Mario World (brings me back to my snes days). Wouldn't be a big fan of the older Mario games like Mario Bros 1, 2 & 3 and i'm not a big fan of RPG. Just looking for a platformer with a lot of imagination that I can pick up for five minutes and then turn off. Any ideas? any recommendations on what I could buy next.

You could try any of the Sonic games, or else Astro Boy: Omega Factor. :)

Thanks for the reply. Ya i used love the sonic games when i was a kid but don't have much time for them now. Maybe what i should be asking is if there is a Super mario world 3 although I think this is not the case.

Nope, there's not. Try Mario and Luigi for the GBA.

That was heading to the DS 'soon' last March though, perhaps even last December for the US launch :)

Ya, was half thinking of getting a DS. Mario touch & go is on it too.I'm very surprised they haven't released a successor to Yoshi's island though. IMO it's one of the best games ever, up there with Super Mario World and Mario Kart

I hear Super Princess Peach on the DS is a great game (JAP only, at the moment). Supposed to be a bit easy, though...

I'll second Astro Boy, it is a little hard though, be prepared.

DK King of Swing is an interesting looking little game as well, Eurogamer DK King of Swing Review
    Donkey Kong Country 1, 2 and 3
Go Go Beckham! is worth a shot if you can find it

Think ill give Astro Boy a go. Thanks for the replies. I love donkey kong too but i played that game so much when I had a SNES that I just can't play it any more:(

Warioland 4 is an all new (in that it isn't a rehash of a SNES game) platformer for the GBA. It's a lot of fun with some great levels and some really difficult bosses.... I could never defeat that stupid cuckoo clock... bah...

Donkey Kong Country 3 has lots of new content that wasn't on the SNES version (the maps and presentation are different, there are lots of minigames, and there is a whole new world (with 7 levels in it) to explore. I'm playing through it at the moment, and its still a great game -- getting 100% in it will take bloody ages.

Started playing a bit of Astro Boy there. Seems fairly good. Very different though. Not too sure if I like it yet. I'd say it just takes a little time to get used to. King of Swing seems good too but again, very different. But I like different..Absolutely love Yoshi's island though.

Remember playing DK3 on the SNES and not thinking it to be great but I'll give it another look..
