Yeah its grand. Lots of people here use it. I'm currently waiting for them to deliver my piano some time next week I hope. Only thing was that they needed a scan of a credit card bill and the credit card itself to prove it was my card. Other than that they are great and their shipping is really cheap too

I bought a guitar from them. No problem as long as you have a credit card and they have it in stock. Took about a week to deliver.

So, what are you up to these days, Snake?

How come you don't like them? I've never ordered from them so I'm indifferent.

put it this way, if you order something that's in stock, then you'll be happy as it's plain sailing from there... but if you order something out of stock then they won't even tell you. you'll be waiting for a week or two wondering where your purchase is, that's when it gets a little bit messy

    Precisely.

I was 6 weeks  waiting for 2 Speaker Stands, they don't like answering their phones over there and musn't read their emails either

Sorry but its www.musicstore.com for me, not one single problem in 4 years :D

Right so, as I said I've never dealt with them but I'll be wary about them now.

don't be, i've never had a problem, and always had the item within a week.. i'd say more people are happy with them than otherwise..

although i'd probably use musicstore.de over thomann.

I've never had a problem with them either, and found their customer service excellent. I once placed a large order with them, and one of the items wasn't in stock, so they sent out everything else, then sent out the other item to me once it was in stock with no extra cost of shipping.

Absolutely excellent service, and I'd gladly give them full marks.

I've a piano due in this week worth 2 grand. Was shipped last saturday with a confirmation text message to my mobile (nice feature). First time ordering so I'll let you know when it arrives. A lot of people here have had good dealings with them so I went on that

how much would typical shipping for one guitar off musicstore.de be?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,323 ✭✭✭Savman

€20 regardless of what you order

Musicstore are good too. Bought my first amp and guitar from them. Make sure you go to the irish version of the site so the right tax is added. They are usually a bit more expensive than thomann

I'd also try guitarbargains.com & chrisguitars.com (used instruments - usa) as sometimes they are cheaper than thomann.

Well my piano was posted on the 3rd December and I contacted DFDS today who told me it would be delivered on Wednesday morning. 8 working days. As long as it arrives this week undamaged I'll be very happy with my experience with thomann

Arrived today after waiting around all day yesterday with no sign of it. Service was good overall but the delivery once it got to Ireland was a little slow. They actually had it in the delivery place last friday night and it took them a week to get it from Naas to Clondalkin.... 15-20 min drive

It was well packaged anyway. Was the original box from Yamaha by the looks of it. They packaged the stool and headphones themselves and it was well boxed and protected

Now, if that was Music Store, you could've picked it up from your nearest UPS depot the next day, after using your tracking number to see exactly where in the world your order was.

    But to each his own:p

I could have picked it up from their depot on monday. They told me that so thats not really a valid point. I also got a tracking number and could see exactly where it was. Not worth paying the extra money on musicstore which I find are usually more expensive
