You could get a silver or gold baby bangle and have your nephews name and date of birth put on it

my friends brother had to get a christening present recently, he was going to be the babys Godfather. one of the suggestions made was to open a bank account in the babies name, i thought this was a really nice idea :)

    A dictionary?

    A Qwerty keyboard?

A realisation that "any" and "anyone" really aren't that difficult to type?

I mean, how the f*ck can one person post something with "ne1" and "appreciated" in it? Can't find a phonetic for "appreciated"?

How about "aprec8d"? Looks too muck like bollix? Hell! Now you know why text speak is BANNED!!

I got silver coins for two of my nieces (only practical when they do special issues).

Something practial like clothes or money would no doubt be appreciated.

Word of advice.. If your having anything engraved for the child avoid Brenfer Jewellers on Capel Street... I got a gorgeous little birth cert holder for my godson and brought it in to be engraved... It already had a Betrix Potter design engraved into it with a little place in the middle where the babys name goes... Went back to pick it up the day before the christening.. Made the mistake of not looking at it till I got home because the place supposedly "specialised" in engraving... The thing was an absolute disgrace.. Not only was there a huge scratch through the babys name where the needle had obviously slipped but the writing was upside down.. he hadnt even bothered to look and see what way the little rabbits where facing... I was absolutely livid...

I went back in there the morning of the christening and I demanded the cost of the scroll and the price of the engraving back... He could see that I was obviously ready to kill someone so he refunded me... If he hadnt I would have made it my business to stand outside the door and show his craftsmanship and to any potential customers who came his way..

But any way back on topic.. What about a little football strip.. his father fave team maybe?? They're really cute, and little footy boots??
