Is it possible to hook your PS2 to broadband and play it

Yep I've done it. You need to invest in a network adapter if it's an older PS2 though. The newer(flat) ones have it built in. You may need a network access disc from Sony, I know I got one and set up my connection details with that, but you might be able to do it from within internet ready games I don't know. The disc was free sitting on a counter in Game when I got it.

How much does the network adapter cost?
Is it really worth investing in any new hardware for the PS2 before the PS3 comes out?

It was 30 euro for that + twisted metal black in game grafton street a while back, normally much dearer though I just picked it up because it was cheap. To be honest I never got much mileage from it, not sure I'd invest in one myself.

Thanks steviec for the advice. Plus my broadband at home is wireless so don't think I could work it anyway...

No it does work with wireless broadband, ud just need a network adapter to pick up on the signal and give it to the ps2. This is a pretty big extra expense but if ur interested its worth it. I just got one for xbox and ps2, have the xbox working n just setting up the ps2. The linksys WGA54G would work for both or something similar, think about it man
