Hi, I built a partition wall between a bedroom and a lounge yesterday (plasterboard witha wooden frame) and I am about to put up the second side of the partition (ie seal it) and I want to put in insulation. I was going to use normal polystyrine (sp) but is there anything better for this job?

This is for soulnd proofing and also for heating.

Rockwool Flexi is made for this job.
EPS will not give much acoustic insulation, however rockwool is much better for this job.
Rolls of rockwool are a little cheaper but will need to be cut to fit.

Have a look at this insulation. It might be a little on the pricey side for insulation but its good for sound proofing.

Thanks everyone. I used Rockwool in the end, came out very well. Not too itchy either!
