Tooting was fine. The place I was staying in Dulwich was a nightmare. Forgot to mention I actually did stay near Queens Park as well.
I was out all over the shop.... from the West End to more local places, Camden, Croydon a couple of times. Most times I was out around London I was with my brother, and the two of us together are dangerous, so I don't remember alot. :) Why do you ask?

I thought London was cool when I was there. Haven't been to America yet though so..... I'm a bit of a homebird though. If I went to live somewhere else, I'd either have to go with 4/5 of mates or else have enough money to fly home every 2nd weekend.

    :)

wow, thats strange that you say that...Boston is the third most highly populated city in all of the united states by irish emigrants...
#1 city is philadelphia, #2 is chicago. The communities are wonderful and if I were not moving to Ireland I probably would move to Boston myself ;)

    San Francisco,
    Paris,
    Hersonnisos,
    New York,
    Bangkok,
    London.

... and probably in that order.

Somewhere in the United States, most likely Colorado, Kentucky, Montana... somewhere where they have cattle ranches and loads of mountains and gorgeous scenery where you can go horseback riding on the trails

Heh, I lived in Malden. There's nothing there, although plenty around it. The Chinese takeaway on Salem Street is nice though (one on an intersection, where 106 turns off?).

I dount think i would ever leave Ireland, there is nowhere like here, we dont ahve extremem weather conditions, we dont ahve earthquakes or hurricanes or tidal waves, we dont have avalanches or desperatly hot summers [even thought this would be a great plus :)]

the closest i will get to leaving wil be to maybe visit a warmer climate for a few months, but this is my home and where my heart is

The Canary Islands for 6 months of the year would be good.

Rome, Florence, Malaga, Sydney, Munich, perhaps even Buenos Ares.

After my life, well that was decided a long time ago; family crypt just outside Florence. I even got to see which alcove.

A comfortable kind of creepy, that.

Who was it didn't want to live in hawaii?
Maui is perfect. That is where I would live if I couldn't live here.

I lived on the east coast of the US for a while, years ago.... in New York and Boston.... Hated every second of boston I'm sorry to say. NYC, now that was a good place to live. Haven't been to see it recently. :( I doubt it's much fun now.

I wonder has it changed much?

I like living in Glasgow it's pretty cool, but wouldn't mind moving to Ireland one day...oh and don't forget I want a place in New York City baby oh yeah!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 430 ✭✭timod

    Either Paris or Toronto probably.

Only visited Paris, but I loved the place. Lived in Toronto for a while. Brilliant.

But to be honest, I haven't been to enough places to make up my mind. I've only been in North America and Europe, and there's a lot more out there.

But I'm quite happy here in Cork...

Having lived in both, I prefer Noo Yawk - just a nicer atmosphere, easier to make new friends, less splintered geographically than London therefore easier to navigate your way around. Having said that I only lived there for a J1 summer, and I've never had to endure a winter there.

Haven't been back since August, but the people I know who live there say that people have desperately tried to get back to normal, so there is still a lot of fun to be had, but inevitably there's a difference in people's attitudes and the general atmosphere.

This may not sound like much of a move (around 12 miles!) but it's the big one for me. Towards the end of 2002, I'm hoping to move out of my parent's house in Newtownards, and move in with my girlfriend!!!!!

That one is easy for me:

New York (Manhattan), Tokyo (Akihabara), Los Angeles, Chicago, Silicon Valley

but I'll probably end up un Dublin :)

If I don't get to experience living in these places, I will @ least visit them. Let's hope that work, has links in such places. ;)
