Very few are those who manage to enter a relationship (any type of relationship) without establishing a dominant/dominated relationship. To answer the question:

    Yes I would.

To explain the answer is going to get a little self-referential so bear with me.

We are presuming that time travel is then available.
I go back in time and kill hitler. Hopefully things get better (I think there's a fair bit of room for things to get better, in all fairness).
    If they do ... hurrah.

If they dont (ie they get worse), then we send someone back in time to whack me. I'll take that risk for the good of humanity.

The only flaw is if the change I make ends the world or stops us ever discovering time travel. but that can be fixed by inverting the phase-couplings on the power conduits.

    lol

    seriously though
there's a belief that you can't change alter the past. that if you went back and tried to kill hitler you would be bound to fail and that things would happen as they have. you might bump into some one else who's timetravelling and trying to kill him too, but you would interfer with each other and nothing would change.

HMM some werid replies but i dont think any1 has really dwealt on the fact you would saving 6 millions Jews from torture and death, and saving another 40 million ppl, i think that is more important then the VW.
But i dont think i could do it cause:
    1. I really dont think i could actually murder sum1
    2. I the results could be much worse

But if i had the option it would be a real battle of the conscience

Well it's all over the useless facts sites on the net and all the other facts seem true (I've tried some of them) have a look at:
http://www.angelfire.com/hi/InMyZone/index6d.html and it's main page for more: http://www.angelfire.com/hi/InMyZone/index6.html

or enter the search in google ' Adolph Hitler's mother seriously considered having an abortion '

I banned you from the Humanities forum myself as after reading several of your posts I realised you were a complete prat.

As for killing me or, even worse, banning me from boards.ie, you fools are all too weak to accomplish such a feat. Eoghan 'Reverend Hellfire' Duffy, you shall be dealt with at a later date, along with any other northern twats currently wearing neck braces that I can think of :)

Ah time travel impossibility theories. One says that you are where you are now because of everything that has every happened everywhere up til now. So if you go back and kill Hitler, then you wouldn't be in a position to go back in time and kill him in the first place, and so you wouldn't kill him, everything would go back to normal.
Then there's the 'Alternate Timelines' Theory (á la Star Trek and Back To The Future). You kill Hitler, go forward in time, experience a new timeline. But all of your friends who sent you would be stuck in their same old crappy timeline, ie your new timeline would diverge from theirs the second before you kill Hitler, and only you could only go forward through your new timeline, ie you can't switch timelines.

    :)

If you want to read a good book that has timelines in it read
    Timeline by Michael Crichton

physicists have used technology from the field of quantum physics to transport objects in the multiverse, or multiple universe. The discovery that infinite universes exist side by side has led to the ability to step into any moment in history. The three historians are sent to 1357, to retrieve and rescue their site manager, Professor Johnston, who found out about the machines and decided to try them himself.

    Good Read....

Think of all that would be different today without Hitler
No problems in Israel as there wouldnt have been large scale Jewish migration
USA would be an isolationist potentially and therefore could have avoided September 11th
Europe could be a poorer place as they wouldnt have got the funding Europe recieved after WW2
Thered be no EU[now thats a reason to kill Hitler if ever there was one]
Japan would be a major colonial power as would much of Europe

You might as well as kill Mussolini and top Jap officials, because, Japan was taking over China and other parts of Asia-Vietnam, Korea, French Indo China, before ww2, Hitler made quick partnership with japan, the Japs were unstopable, at the time, death was the only options, with there history of glory in the battle field, and dishonor with surrender, brought shame on the emporror and their familys..remember it took 2 bombs to stop them. they were also brain washed, no surrender to allies, thy taught we were demons, thats why they fought so hard and rather kill them selves before capture, and they were normal ppl, not soldiers,
