So, where are the best places for free WiFi access in Dublin as you have your sambo and coffee?

Looking for some alternative 'office spaces' I can use. If we get a decent list together this might be worth a sticky.

    EDIT/ List from Google:

    FREE WIFI IN DUBLIN

    Brown's Bar, Citywest, D24

Cafe Ciao, Bagget Street Bridge, D2

    Chester Beatty Library, D2

Dublin Airport, End of Terminal A

    Front Lounge, Parliament St, D2

Kylemore Cafe, St Stephens Green, D2

    McDonald's, Kylemore Road, D24

Renard's Bar, South Frederick St, D2

    Solas Bar, Camden St, D2

The Globe, Great Georges St, D2

The Market Bar, Georges St Arcade, D2

European Parliament in Ireland, building on the corner of Molesworth Street and Dawson Street in Dublin 2. There are often gangs sitting down outside it on their front steps. Obviously its more a case of an unsecured network than free Wifi- but hey, they appear to be one and the same........

All we need now is someone to set up one of those little coffee vans there

    Hi there,

Academy Hotel offers free WiFi to its customers also.

It's at the top end of O'Connell Street opposite the Cathal Brugha street catering college. Fadó Fadó is the hotel bar.

    All of them?

As far as I know - the only one I've used was at a Roundabout in Athlone, so its probably safe to assume the ones in Dublin have it too! :)

It was in response to the post
Notice these places and pubs are all over the posh southside :P

    which was directly above it.

I wish you people would try reading the whole thread before going into a fit of righteous indignation for a change.

I got free WiFi sitting in the coffee shop on the top floor of the Powerscourt Townhouse Centre a couple of months back.

I think it was just a fluke of someone having an unsecured network though because they have Bitbuzz in place there which is sub based.

Do u not need some card or thingy to access mcdonalds ones? Also there is a number of unsecure networks all over sandymount -spoilt for choice-.

A few places in Swords have it now, all thanks to the County Council's wireless initiative. One place that has it is Millers coffe shop at the end of the main street - a lovely little place that does nice all day breakfasts!
