Can anyone suggest any applications for this.(pref freeware)

I have an mpeg, nearly 6 mins in length, but its 60MB,
I want to reduce it to less than 10MB so that I can share it.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
but I was looking for something that might compress it in terms
of frames per second/ screen size etc...?

If you convert it real movie format (.rm) it should come down to the required size. I don't like rm so converting to divx would be much better but a bit bigger - probably 20/30 megs

Most people don't have winrar so a self-extracting zip file in exe form would be more user friendly.
Many mail servers wont accept .exe attachments so rename your file to movie.exe.doc and instruct your recipients to change it movie.exe and run it.

If they have XP they can unzip files quite easily so that may the way to go

Use the VCD template....just over 1 MB a minute so you'll get your clip under 10mb no problem. Plus, ALL pcs will play MPEG1 files.
