That has to be the most famous wind up they've ever done!! Anytime they come up in conversation it always comes back to that one "D'ya ever hear that one about your man with the dogs!!?"

Tears in me eyes again hearin it.

why would they fake it, no one would listen to them if they were fake and there really are gob****es like that around

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,551 ✭✭✭panda100

haha-hillarious-dont think thats staged at all-its a pity those old country fellas are a dying breed-they have a law on to themselves-i wish i would say the same if i ever got a call from a hobnob in dublin castle.

Lads, thats not fake. Thats some real muck savage on there. 100% Prime Irish. I know because i used to work in a place where i'd speak to a few chancers like that on the phone every day, and, by-jaysus, theres alot of people out there like him. I'm pretty sure i've had an almost identical conversation several times.. trying to get people to pay their bills.

Notice the talent for making up excuses on the spot and his attitude to the bureaucrat from Dublin.

    "from Dublin Wheh??"

    A classic.

Apparently they did one of Jackie healy-Rae Td, recently on the run up to the Kerry All-Ireland and how they wanted to stay with him in his hotel room. I'd love to hear that one !

I heard this ages ago, we went around in work for months after going "DAWGS!!?" and pi***ng ourselves. One thing though, Cork people: what the hell does "scraping the haggard" (or whatever he says) mean

We had a haggard at home , it was like a rough field ya know , the neighbours haggard was an old orchard , for us scraping the haggard was goin out with a hoe an tryina make it look like we at least attempted keeping the weeds down on it.

Got a JCB in in the end , the Haggard is now the lawn.
