Pluggin a bass into a guitar multi-Effect

    Hey. Does anybody know if its i good idea to plug a bass into a guitar multi effects pedal. I know your not meant to plug a bass into a guitar amp but im not sure if its the same with effects.I think the pedal is a zoom.

    Some help and advice would be brilliant ;)

    It won't do the effect unit any harm but, since the thing is designed to work around guitar frequencies it may just suck all the low end out of your bass when you use it.

    Ok.wel im jus gona get a lend of the pedal and see wot happens and if it sounds dodgy il just giv it back and not buy it. Its a Zoom GFX-707. Anybody know if it can be set to work on lower frequencies?

    They cannot.

    What kind of effects are you looking for? Tbh, Zoom wouldn't jump to mind as something I'd recommend no matter what kind of sounds you want.

    Its not too bad when you plug it in, but guitar pedals reproduce the low E on a bass horribly.
