DVD Ripping Software

    Aplogies if this has already been asked before but I cannot check since there is no search facility working at the moment.

    What is the best DVD ripping software for rippping Dvds and recording them onto Dvd+R or Dvd-R?

    If anyone has any recommendations could you please specify if it is freeware or if you have to buy it?

    personally I use DVDshrink for my BACKUPS

    dvdxcopy is also an option...one click backups of dvds(ie it rips and burns the dvd with a single click)

    I use dvdshrink for my 'backups' which is freeware and prefers you to have Nero installed as well.

    Nero Recode for ripping to MP4, in much less time than anything else I've used.

    now that you mention in less time than anything else, how long does it take you to rip a DVD from Orig to 4.7 GB Disc? excluding the burning part.

    I use DVDShrink 3.2 and always use auto setup, and of course the deep analysis and it takes my system 22 minutes in total (so analysis and exncoding)

    Slysoft.com, get yourself CloneDVD & Any DVD they'll copy ANYTHING, excellent programs for backing up DVD's
    Best of all they run the company from Mallow in Cork :)

    No program that merges several VOB files into one is there? Freeware of course :)

    Iv several episodes of a TV program id like to fit onto a disk, but DVDShrink doesnt do it

    Actually, you can get dvdshrink to do it by using reauthor (once they're already in dvd format).

    sometimes I use dvdbackup too.

    Takes me 30mins or so just to incode with out deep analysis on. Would take another 26mins to do that also.
