I'm trying to include page numbers in a fairly large document, but I dont want any numbers on the first few pages.

In other words, I want Word to begin page numbering from "1" on the third page of my document.

I know this is possible, and I have Googled, but I'm having no luck. Can anyone help?

The way I do it is to add a new section then when adding the page numbers go to select not to continue from previous section.

click view -> header and footer

click page setup on the header/footer toolbar

    header.JPG

check the different first page checkbox

    pgsetup.JPG

the page will never show "page 1" it will show the page number, EG. 3; but it will not show it on the first page
