The best balancing act involving wire has to be Philippe Petit.
Walked between the Twin Towers in '74.

according to the people who do this they see the world as the following
mystical vision of a world swimming in energy and flows.
whihc was taken from the site which advertises that chaps video, Andy Goldsworthy

Saw this guy in person while in San Fran outside the exploratorium.

Stopping off to see him was part of the alternative tour that we gave to mates coming over to visit... that, the water flowing uphill*, and the Irish/Indian bar/curry house with probably the cheapest Guinness in the world...

It seems legit - he'd even ask the crowd to find rocks and he'd use them. He can use bottles too. I still think there must be some sort of "trick" to it though.

    * this may have been an optical illusion but shhhhhh...

Actually in Korea on jeju island they have a road called "Dokkaebi road", if you stop the car and take off the handbrake you actually roll uphill. Pouring water on the ground does the same.

Actually most of the time he just lands early inthe morning and unrolls the picture and tapes up the side of it. He is an artist and can draw well, he's just lazy and uses the same one over and over.
Thanks for that! I've always wondered about him; now I hate him even more! :D

    Endurance Man
    It is not photoshop!!
Iv seen it in the flesh, explain that ??
I didnt see it to this extent but it was the same type of thing, its not impossible
Edit: Actually , looking a little closer these pics do look a little sketchy , im still not 100% sure.

LOL....you really dont inspire confidence with your claims do you?....How could u not be "100% sure" if you have "seen it in the flesh"?...Someone needs to get their story straight before they make a total fool of themselves....oh wait...you already have made a fool of yourself! :p

There's "Electric Brae" in Scotland too, another optical illusion hill.

In the same mountain range near Forkhill in South Armagh there is such a hill too (on the slopes of Slieve Gullion) , I remember the parents driving up there many years ago to try it and apparently it worked.

I do recall at the time thinking it was an optical illusion as the local trees etc lean in a direction away from the wind giving the impression of sloping where there may not be any..though the others on the same trip seemed to be convinced.

I've seen this too in Vancouver.

Was walking along the beach and saw all these rocks balanced like that. I was convinced they were glued somehow so went over and tipped a few over.

They're just perfectly balanced, amazing to look at.

The same happens in Sligo on the side of Benbulben. It is due to the iron ore content in the hill and its magnetic quality.
If you look through the site you can see footage of kids doing the rock thing, just a question of finding the point of balance, mes thinks. Looking forward to finding some rocks and trying it!
Electro69...you are a pain in the ass huh?

And who are you to say that....learn how to spell properly and come back to me in about 20 years when you may be slightly more mature(which i doubt), and i may think about dignifying your response with an answer.

    No, you sir are wrong.

    Ok...fair enough Jimi-spandex.

    nedoo: twat

Well done...you have just proven your lack of maturity and intelligence to everyone...anything else you would like to add to dig the hole your in any bigger?

It's much easier for a rock to stay put once it's balanced because of the weight.
