I know there are squash facilities, but on the site it says nothing about a tennis court? I was really hoping for a tennis court on campus to play on. Is there one even nearby?

There are tennis courts in the park. Either 6 or 8.

The national training centre is next door! Don't know if DCU students get a discount or anything - http://www.tennisireland.ie/index.php

oh phew ! Thanks. I suppose that national tennis place will be pretty pricey tho, (i doubt dcu students would get a discount for being next door ;) )

DCU Tennis club has an arrangment with Glasnevin Tennis Club which is just down the road and DCU has an arrangment (Sports Science dept. anyway) with Tennis Ireland and their facilities. I wouldn't assume anythinig about the use of the courts just yet, you'd be better to wait 'til Clubs and Socs. days to ask people who would actually know.
