Anyone here have trouble with Tele2 bungling their telephone bill? 'cause I have. Called them at least 10 times, emailed them, posted bills to them trying to get an erroneous bill sorted out and two months on I am STILL having to call them. They actually billed me for calls made when I was out of the country and accredited those calls to a phone number I dont even know. I live in Dub 24 and the number was a city centre number. They passed the bill on to a debt collection agency and I have been recieving monthly letters from that company, despite talking to tele2 about it over a month back and paying more than I owed them by direct debit.
I have never come across such a high level of incompetence in any company in all of my dealings.

Don't waste your time phoning them. Once it gets to the debt collector stage you'll need a paper trail.

Write a very short polite letter to tele2 pointing out you have been disputing the bill and that they have failed to respond.

Send a copy to the debt collectors and say you will ignore all further correspondence from them as they have been misled by the company.

Don't worry. There is a long distance between a debt collector's letter and any further legalistic action especially if you have put something in writing.

You should of course, consider and/or threaten cancelling your contract.

Cheers vinny, I have already cancelled the contract, and they promised me today that the debt thing will be sorted out.. it's just so unbelieveable that a level of incompetence exists in this day and age.
    Thanks for the help :-)
