Theres something inherently annoying about their forums. Partially its the lack of avater control... but mostly its the clique atmosphere where no one registered before 2005 is listened to.

The whole timetable fiasco is a great example where it went from a group of mods and heavy users constantly patting themselves and the festival on the back for not being like oxegen and how theyd have the timetable information to the same group of people covering each others asses as the inevitable backlash hit when it turned out the information wouldnt be released.

Of course people are going to bitch.. its ireland people always bitch where they wont be heard by anyone who can do anything. Sure its infuriating but it was handled badly and the regulars and the mods seem so eager to cover each other that they neglected to admit they made a mistake and apologise.

Of course this has rendered the entire forum a mess of unreadable in-jokes, denials, accusations, rebuttals and all sorts of other general bitching that any ACTUAL information is rapidly buried.

I finally gave up trying to find out if the promise of a leak of any sort is true because I was getting a headache... The last I could make out there will be nothing official and anyone who has access to the information has been warned of dire consquences if it gets out.

Lets hope this mess is no reflection of the festival as Ive very high hopes for this weekend.

Anybody been on the latest '09 website yet? I keep getting mad flashing squares. Pretty feckin' annoying it has to be said.
