So - anyone got any seriously kickass recipes? Y'know, the type of food you spend a bit of time preparing, with no jars of Dolmio in sight, and when you serve it up, everyone is well impressed?

C'mon - you've all seen those Jamie Oliver recipes....surely some of you guys have something similar...

I will post some of my own raging successes over the next few days....just as soon as I remember where I left the damned recipes :)

Well any time I go to the bother of cooking without the aid of packet or jar I would cook Thai or Indian.

    Thai:
My personnal favorite is Tom Yam/Ka Gai. I know if you have seen it on a menu in a Thai resturant its normally a starter well thats because they dont have noodles in it. I'll post up the recipe like bonkey once I find where I left the good darm thing.

    Indian:
I cannot remember the name of it but it was basicly a lamb and patato stew Indian style. It was gorgous nice and spicy but not overly so. The only problem was that I must have spent about 5 hours making the bloody thing and most of that was grinding up herbs :( I got the recipe of my old house mate so I have to try and dig that one up again.

Both of these dishes I can recommend to anyone. Their ideal for impressing the other half or just to have a few ppl around to eat. Anyway I'll try and dig up those recipes soon.
