WinTV Nova / Hotbird settings

hi there, i am trying to pick up hotbird on my pc using a hauppage win tv nova pci card. I have got a high signal strength and quality, but when i scan for channels, none are found. I know that the dish is working fine and pointing in the right direction, because my technomate receiver works just fine with it. any ideas?

What software are you using and what sort of scan are you doing?

I take it that you've the coax is going directly from the PCI card to the dish, not through a loop-thru or anything?
