only smoke it when its goin around

i dont belive its a bad thing myself its only a class c recreational drug like
    beer but its still illegal

I don't honestly see what harm it could do, although it could make crime more common....

Yes, but it will substantially boost crime lords income thus leading to more organized crime.

How do u figure that? it would be completely regulated, therefore the crime lords would lose all their buisness to the legal sellers!

    Who cares?
The Irish government won't do anything unless they've seen it working in the US or UK, the sheep that they are.

it has less of an effect on your body than cigerettes, which are worse for you.
hash makes you forget full and its illegal
cigerrets destroy your lungs, your brain, you liver ect.

    the goverment are hypocrites

I've never known people who smoke dope to have criminal tendencies - apart from the fact that they are commiting a crime by possessing it in the first place. It does a great deal less harm than alcohol which is addictive and causes many deaths that are not featured on the front page of the Evening Herald. It seems to be effectively legal in anyway as I don't think the Guards are too bothered about it as they know people who smoke it are pretty harmless. I doubt it will ever be legalised though and maybe that's not a bad thing as Irish society needs less drug abuse not more and we've got more than enough with the boring booze culture that is still 'part of what we are'.

    May not be true.
Cannabis smoking may carry a higher risk of respiratory disease, including lung cancer, than tobacco smoking. Long-term use is thought to be associated with an increase in anxiety.

Crime lords dont make a killing from selling beer(from what i kno) so if we were to need a licence to sell it then it could work. :)

I want to the see that statistics that say that. Most crime is nothing to do with "le sh!t" as the french call it

And how in general is hash smoked?

Thats right, in a joint using tobbaco. So how may i ask is it better? In a joint you are smoking a cigerette plus hash. So there is more in there. Get your story straight.

Im not referring to the people who smoke it, I'm on about the peopel who will be selling it. Although if it is regulated enough it might'nt be a problem...

true but while were generalizing, the reason why most people put a ciggarette in is because you cant smoke a pure hash joint, but if marijuana was legal in ireland then it would be as easy to get weed/grass/callitwhatyoulike which most folk would eventually switch to.

now there are possible carcenogenic effects involved in smoking any substance so smoking pure grass spliffs isnt something that could be seen as good for the health but surley its better than smoking chemical laden ciggies in ten times the quantity because of their extreme addictiveness

(addictiveness: if its a real word sorry for misspelling it so badly :) )

    Hash? No.
    Weed? Hells yes.

This topic has been done to death...there are good reasons for it to remain illegal, but the pros outweigh the cons.

DonkeyStyle\o/ is on the money though..never happen here without it happening across the water first.

You don't smoke 20 a day, unlike cigarettes.

I know a fair few people who put a full fag into their joints. It really depends on the person tbh

    Some people do.
And then there's the roach vs filter debate... roach users must be getting a lot more tar.
There again, it's not just for smoking, there are tonns of other recipies... honey, yogurt, brownies etc.
Personally I never saw the appeal.
