Can anyone here tell the difference in 16 bit and 32 bit colour in games? i know in san andreas i can't and 16 bit gives me about 5-10 fps extra.

Well it's basically what it says on the tin. If you choose 16 bit colour, the game will render the graphics colours from a 16-bit pallete, if a specific colour isn't found it chooses a substitute. 32-bit uses a larger pallette and is therefore more time consuming processing wise, it may look prettier but takes more time to draw. That's why you're getting more fps with a 16 bit pallete my son.

Well no man, i personally throw on 32 bit cos it's a standard setting render for most new games and the graphics card that support them. There's nothing wrong with 16 bit, it's just that some games look ****e with them

I've got a radeon sapphire 256mb 9800 ProSE, but I don't have GTA. I play counter strike a lot and have the graphics to the max
