How about, simply, I can play racing/flight sims on my XBOX/PC/whatever with real VR googles, i.e. since tech exists, is cheap, render is good enough at current-gen console level and clever adaptive optronics could banish motion sickness? Not much to ask...
Flexible LCD panels so you can roll up your TV.

Already exists, btw. Today's word is 'smart fabrics'

A device that lets us hear other people's thoughts, would be great for helping a relationship - you'd know exactly what they are thinking of you.
    are you totally insane?

how many partners want their other half to know EXACTLY what they're thinking?

he's a fat lazy slob and he's crap in bed compared to his brother.

she's doesn't turn me on at all since she had the baby and put on a few pounds. i wish she was jennifer aniston. i wsh i was jennifer aniston.

can you see where this might go wrong?

now something that would let you swap your consciousness with someone else would be great.

there was a low budget movie about it called 'xchange' with one of the baldwin clones and kyle mclaughlin in it.

the premise was that you could do an 'xchange' with someone else, even over long distances, so you could swap with someone in another country for a business meeting to save you flying, or sawp with someone of the opposite sex to see what it's like on the other side of the fence. or even swap with your personal trainer so they do your workouts for you while you use their bodies.

    some very interesting possibilities anyway.

Bionic Implants - if someone loses their leg or arm they can get a new robotic one ( very sci fi :D ). And also i heard of a material that was made by a man in his garage that is basically indestructible in almost (or most) any way. He build a suit of it and he was thrown off a mountain and was ok, he got a car swung into him via a crane and then into a WALL and was still ok. He got two massive lumber 4x4 planks smashed into his face wearing the helmet and was ok. The material is also bullet proof, pierce proof and i think flame proof. However the armor was heavy and cumbersome. I think it would be a great idea if this material was further researched and improved to make it lighter and flexible and would become a new age battlesuit for soldiers. Also saw on a channel on National Geographic that Stealth Camo is in development at the moment as well.
