It strikes me recently that The Cuckoo's Nest has developed into something more than a den of iniquity and silliness.

While there is a lot of meaningless noise which has found a valid home there; there is a dedicated core of people commited to the art of the silly.

There is a surrealist and dadaist undercurrent of subversion in a lot of threads that deserves merit.

Ironically, a lot of the humourous and well-thought out posts in TCN deserve to be registered as a valid post much more so than the 'post count ++' two word responses that clog up after hours.

What I suggest is a splitting of the nest, one with post count disabled for plonking nonsensical threads in and talking rubbish, one a private forum for people who are dedicated to creating a witty and surreal masterpiece.

Making the forum private would keep out the people who felt they could post rubbish for the sole reason of upping post-count with no comeuppance. Careful moderation (I suggest current fab-mods and old married couple amp & koneko if they would feel up to it) could prevent this from happening.
