Windows Media Player up to no good.

    I have WMP set not to access the internet (firewall blocks it).

    I switched it on to access the net to view a streamed media site, when another program (also part of WMP) tried to contact a MS site to give details on what I was watching! :eek:

    Nasty.

    Have you tried ASFRecorder (saves streaming media to file). Just got it from a guy here at work, nice.
