saw these two classics for sale on ebay.ie - I am partucurlarly interested in the CX but look at that crazy price - not a hope in hell will he get that for it. :rolleyes:

If it's as good as he says, that's not too bad. Bear in mind you won't have shipping costs, VRT and so on (assuming it's Irish registered). For comparison I saw CX GTI Turbo 2s in the Netherlands for around this price, they looked to be in super condition.

I would be VERY surprised if this car has no rust. The photo shows it being left out in a rain shower - that's enough with most Citroëns

. He's very sketchy on details too.

what are mk1 celica's like for reliability?
i know that it all depends on how well they were taken care of and serviced,
but could they be used as an everyday car?

are they prone to rust?

All Toyotas of that era were very prone to rust - the ones that are in good condition today IMO have done so because of their soft life - I am sure thay would make an excellent everyday car but expect it to rust within a few years if used in such a manner
