seriously though, how strict are they with having 3 tickets on one credit card?

I have the actual 2 tickets I bought 6 weeks ago but don't want to sell them on (face val. of course...damn touts *shakes fist* ) if the standing ticket I bought won't be there when I try to collect it...?

anyone any inside info on what ticketmaster does for this.....?

If you have the 2 already (in your hands) then your 1 standing ticket will be there when you go up. You could even hedge your bets by keeping the 2 seated tickets and selling them to fans up there who will pay you face value AFTER you pick up your standing ticket.

Whats the story with collection? can you collect from a ticketmaster before the day or do you have to use the box office on North Circular Road?

    From ticketshafter.ie...

    Box Office Collection
Most venues, which sell tickets via Ticketmaster, offer what is called "Box Office Collection", through which you can pick your tickets up right at the event prior to the show. If you were able to choose Box Office Collection for your tickets, then it is available for your event. Box office rules and hours vary. Some may not be open until an hour prior to event time, while others may be open during regular business hours every day. Some buildings advise patrons to arrive very early to pick up tickets to avoid long lines. Most venues will not let you pick up your tickets from THE Box Office until the day of the event.

In order to pick up your tickets, you may be required to present:

A valid photo ID, driver's license or passport.
The credit card you used to purchase the tickets.
    Your confirmation number.
The box office will not release tickets if the name on the ID and credit card does not match the name used to purchase the tickets from Ticketmaster or if the photo on the ID does not appear to be the photo of the person retrieving the tickets.

Just after 1pm and by a stroke of pure luck I was going by the ticketmaster
in St. Stephens Green centre and heard a customer being told that they had 5 tickets for Monday's gig still for sale. I joined the short queue was offered the lot when I got to the front. They had two pairs - (seated together Hogan stand) and one standing. I took two of them but left the others - so hopefully someone else (and not a scalper) will have their day made.

    What's the craic here?
I used my mother's card to get the tickets. Will I have any probs collecting them on the day?

Yer ma will have to go with you then :-)

    Rock on.

Seriously, just hope for the best & that it will be ok.
They'd be right dick$ to refuse you your tickets on these grounds.
I'm sure there are loads of people in the same situation so they'll have
one hell of an angry queue if they enforce the rule strictly.

I'd like to know this myself. I'd love to head up to Croker at lunchtimne on Monday to save queuing for the tickets after work but I doubt it'll be open. :(

yeah I have the 2 actual tickets in my hand so fingers crossed,

I probably will hedge the bets though, wouldn't want to end up empty handed

at the same time, I am wondering, if ,with 240,000 tickets out there, the demand won't be there for the touts to charge ridiculous prices and maybe the touts will be caught out on the day and I could struggle to sell on 2 x €80 seats at the last minute

anyway, it's all a good, and a nice problem to have

cheers for the heads up people

and Fandango, that's a nice avatar!

Wow, nearly in tears here ,,,, was dyin' to go to one of these gigs, was moaning about the price of tickets on Ebay over the weekend ... happy to go to Coldplay as a compensation. Then, divine inspiration and I head into the gigs section in Boards (to check out who is supporting coldplay) and hey presto ... I've managed to get two standing tickets for Monday night ... Thank you so much! :):):):)

    w00t

Got 2 pitch tickets just before 3 o'clock. had firefox and IE open to ensure that i got two for the same area.

OK I just bought a pitch ticket for Monday

now i realise I have 2 seats for the lower canal for Monday's show on the same credit card (which I bought originally that Saturday morning and intended to pass on at face value) ie 3 in total and maximum is supposedly 2

but will my order be canceled?

how stringent are they with the multiple bookings policy?

but will my order be canceled?

    From ticketmaster's website :
    Performance Information:
You are only permitted to purchase up to 2 tickets for this show.
Multiple bookings for a single show may be cancelled without notification.

I wouldn't count on you having 3 tickets until you actually have them in your hands but you never know.

Hopefully it works out for you.

But he's only made 1 booking for this show, the one today for 1 ticket. The others he's bought already (and has them), he just used the same CC.

I'd say he'll be grand tbh.

I emailed Ticketmaster and told them that i made 2 transactions for 4 tickets over all. Decided it would be better to loose the 2 seating than to turn up and have none at all. They havent replied but i will let you know what they say when they do. I plan on selling the other 2 seating for face value to friends if i get em but if not, i just want to make sure i get the standing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,488 ✭✭✭AdrianII

i also made two transactions of two tickets
two for me and two for a mate - if i received a confirmation email cant hey still cancel it

I would have prefered 2 seating to be honest because the missus is a shortarse and won't be able to see anything (if you're reading this, hi babe love you lots :o ) but I couldn't wasn't being offered any seating so went for standing. Box office opens at 3pm for collection it seems - one hour before the gates.

I dunno,i got 3 confirmation emails, 1 for the seating tickets, another for the seating tickets with the same confirmation number but Mail was changed to Collection and 1 for the standing. Hopefully i can get em as i have told people i would give em to them.

Stem, i would be happy to swap the 2 seating for your standing tickets if i get them, thats if your interested of course.

    Thanks.

You'll probably have them by Wednesday if you're in Dublin. They're normally very quick in mailing out tickets.

You can see all the "boarders" looking out the window every morning
waiting for that "brown envelope" that the postman hopefully has before Friday morning ;)

Just imagine if they called a postal strike
