    Really annoying me this is!

Just got a new laptop and want to transfer all my email accounts (13) to the new machine.... Unfortunately I can't seem to figure out how to do it!

Everywhere I look everyone is saying it's not possible - this can't be true - canit???

Is my only option to import the accounts into outlook express and export them from there?

    Any thoughts appreciated.

    Tom

Do you want to move the existing mail over with them as well or just the account settings?

I just moved all my mail from one desktop machine to another without too much hassle

I haven't got outlook infront of me and could well be wrong but aren't all emails/settings stored in something called a .pst file, run a windows search for "*.pst" and try copying that over to the new pc and looking through the import function in outlook for the option to import a pst.

Emails are defnitely stored in pst files - but when I copied them over - it just brought the emails. I have to setup the accounts again.

Maybe the backup option will include settings???

You could try the Microsoft Office 2003 Save my settings wizard. Ill just check now to see if that works. Its under microsoft office on the programs menu.

    Thanks Guys,

I tried the office save my settings wizard idea and it worked a treat!

It keeps all your settings, signatures etc - absolutely perfect for what I needed!

    CHEERS!

    That's what I should have used :)
Then again.. my settings were a bit messed up, so starting afresh wasn't such a bad idea
