norton anti virus or cheaper

hey folks i want to get some anti virus fro my laptop, anything free is good, are there any out there on the market I think i read before about avg ?? but some one said these web sites have hackers checking them so you can get attacked so i dont want to google anything in case this happens thanks paddy

avg antivirus can be found at www.grisoft.com

I think who ever told you about the hackers was seriously confused. A simple google wont hurt you. Also download firefox or opera browsers and you will be safer when you accidentally stumble onto a hacked site.
