    Hey there guys,

Just been broswing the internet and found a very interesting site that is using an idea that brings hyperlinks into the real world.

    Check out http://www.grafedia.net/about.php?

The basic concept behind the site is that you find links on walls, in newspapaers basically anywhere that people advertise them. Then you mail the hyper link word to "hyper link word"@grafedia.net then you recieve a piece of muti media in return to your mail box.

Judging by what I have read on the net its gething quite popular in New York.

Do you think that it could catch on over here .....?

Personally I woiuld be on the look out for links and would defo chalk a few on footpaths around the place if other people were doing the same - It defo would make walking around town a little more interesting

Also it is a good way for free advertising me thinks - If you know anybody that would be up for killing free time creating mutlimedia work and placing links around the place please forward them on the following

    http://www.grafedia.net/

Anyway that is my 2 cents hope to see some hyperlinks around the streets of dublin fairly soon

    SG

I realise that I am probably going to get slated something shocking but I still think its a good idea and no I dont want to move to NY

that'd be decent if you could take a photo and MMS it to them and get the link back.

MIT or some similar had a cool project two years ago where they could RFID tag any real object with comments other people could read - i.e. if you walk by a pub you get a private piece of digital grafitti tag your mate wrote there, or you could leave a digital note in a public area (say a public square or a tree, whatever) for anyone to read.

it was a nice idea and very context-aware trendy

Somethings are simply not meant to be.
