booking trains in Poland and Hungary

    I am travelling in eastern europe but not getting inter rail pass because it would be cheaper to buy the tickets. I am having difficulty booking any trains in these countries. I have found times of trains on http://www.bahn.de and have found some other websites but there is no online booking forms for reservation for Hungary and Poland. Does anyone know how to reserve tickets for trains in these countries?

    Can't find anything in the Thomas Cook rail timetable.

    You may just have to wing it and not bother reserving to be honest.

    That is ok for one or 2 trips cos I arrive a few days before I want to leave. there is one trip though I arrive late the night before in warsaw and NEED to get the train to Vilnius the following day. i can't miss this train.. I can't be sure I can get this train unless I reserve it.

    www.elvira.hu is yer friend, for timetables, in Hungary and surrounding countries.
    not sure if you can book there..
