BBC FTV card with Irish Sky subscription

    Hi,

Was wondering if someone could give me some advice.

Here's the situation. I have an Irish Sky sub (basic package) in Germany and (like most of us) would like to receive CH4, CH5 and the remaining BBC channels.

I was wondering about the technical feasibility of it. If I somehow arranged to get a BBC card, can I have it activated by the BBC for my Irish box (i.e. will they check the box no.)? If it is activated, can I simply swap cards, depending on whether I want to watch SKY or CH4 etc.? Would I have to access CH4 through the "Add Channels" menu, as it is not listed on the EPG?

Finally, does anyone know how I could purchase a BBC FTV card, as I have no relatives in the UK:( ?

    Sorry for all the questions....

    Stephen ;)

Answer to all your questions is yes-
have a look at ebay or qxl.com, where you may be able to bid for a digibox with a bbc card already switched on-you might get a bargain.

    Yep. I'd thought of that.

But that would mean I'd have 2 digiboxes. Was wondering if it is possible to get a card for the current one...
