I need a solution to the above problem for this evening...preferrably with nothing to do with a restaraunt or a pub. Is there anything interesting happening in Dublin tonight, anything different to do? Or any old favourite that I may be overlooking?!
    Cheers

Cinema and restaurant are core ideas really, but it depends in what context...

As in, a first date? Or with someone special to you ;)

Your options generally depend on the above status

Nah she's just not having a great day so it'd be nice to do something nice! I hate when you cant think of something to do...always seems pub/cinema is the only thing to do :(

look in the things to do forum

maybe a nice picnic in the park? or you cook her dinner? or go buy loads of bath stuff and relaxation stuff and give it to her along with a massage.

nice long walks along the seafront always go down a treat!

How about the cinema, followed by the pub?

Go see a play or live show of some sort...

Go to the Dracula / Bram Stoker Museum.

Some people find it really scary. What better way is there to round off a bad day?

heehee.. picnic in the park.. you chicks crack me up! The best thing would be a comedy night... bit late to book anything now though and the international bar improv is on Monday's as far as I remember. Unless you like theatre there's nothing else to do in the old town except go for some nice food and get sloshed. Works for me anyways! ;)

Get the Ticket. It's free in todays Irish Times, it has listings for gigs and what's on in theatres and stuff.
If it was me and I had asked my BF to take me out and treat me nice (depending on the budget) I'd like to go for something nice to eat and a few drinks and then on to see some good music.
I would recomend Havana off Camden street, very nice place, its small and intimate, they serve really good tapas and big jugs of sangria... all for a very reasonable price.
After Havana you could take a nice stroll down to Wicklow street and see what's on in Wheelans or the Village

I would avoid going to see a movie or a play or anything that you can't chat along to, coz "Take me out and treat me nice" dose kinda implay that she wants to spend time with you... :)
Good Luck, Hope you have a great night!

How about taking her to a local building site and having a nice romantic shag up against a skip? Perhaps followed by some post-coital chips (one never knows what one will find in a skip!)

Ahh yeah, how did I forget. Great night can be had there, but it's not as classy as Shelbourne.

I think I'd prefer the building site idea!

LOL, the building site idea had me laughing I admit, but the dog track is great fun. I've brought girls, and they've always said it was a great night, especially when they get into backing the dogs and winning a few quid. I wouldn't stay there all night (last race is around 11ish anyway) so I usually head into town afterwards for a bit more boozing/dancing.
